Chelsea’s victory over West Ham on Friday night will now focus on a matchup with rivals Fulham of West London. Following a disheartening opening-day tie with Crystal Palace, Enzo Maresca’s team immediately went into overdrive at the London Stadium.
Due to the abundance of transfer activity that has to be completed, the Blues are anticipated to have a hectic week off the field going into the final week. We compile all of the most recent Stamford Bridge news and transfer rumors here.
According to reports, Chelsea will need to make two exits in the last week in order to complete agreements to sign their two remaining targets, Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons, who would cost a combined £100 million.
“Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons are patiently waiting for Chelsea to give them the green light,” according to Romano. Nico Jackson and Christopher Nkunku had to go within the last week of the window. Garnacho is probably worth between £30 and £40 million, while Simons will cost £60 million this summer.
Chelsea need two conditions met to sign Garnacho deal
The team has signed Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, and João Pedro, and it is believed that Garnacho and Simons are their top priorities.
Garnacho is said to be available for around £50 million, but Chelsea is reportedly unwilling to spend that much. He has not participated in United’s preseason. After Ruben Amorim made it obvious that the 21-year-old was not part of his plans at Old Trafford, the Argentina attacker is reportedly eager to transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Although Chelsea has not yet made a formal proposal, they probably will, since United is looking to balance their books as they finalize the acquisition of Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. Ben Jacobs, a transfer specialist, stated earlier this week that Chelsea’s initial offer for Garnacho would be close to £30 million instead of United’s minimum asking price of £50 million.
Jacobs also disclosed that Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, who played on loan at Strasbourg in Ligue 1 during the 2024–2025 season, was brought up in talks between the teams. He told The United Stand, “Andrey Santos has been discussed; I don’t think it’s going to lead anywhere because Chelsea doesn’t want to sell.”
