The West London club have already strengthened their forward line with the addition of Barcelona academy product Marc Guiu this summer. The Blue are keen to bring one more player to their plans.
Chelsea want to give some competition to their current first-choice striker Nicolas Jackson. They have been linked with a number of names this summer, including Villa forward Jhon Duran.
As per the reports of Football Insider, the Blues are now considering a swap deal for Duran’s Villa teammate Watkins. They are planning to offer midfielder Conor Gallagher plus cash to prise Watkins away from Villa Park this summer.

Gallagher has entered the final year of his contract. If Chelsea sell him out, it would help them to generate some funds. The Blues have negotiated with Villa this summer, having sold full-back Ian Maatsen and signed attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman.
