Chelsea to complete signing of Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion

Samu Omorodion will now compete with Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu for a starting role at Chelsea.

Chelsea are on the verge of completing the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion. The Blues are heavily linked with the talented striker. They were supposed to spend a good amount on the Spain Under-21 international.

Alvaro Morata having been sold to AC Milan and Atletico refused at least two approaches from Chelsea. The Blues have moved on from their interest in the 20-year-old. They are not interested in the pursuit of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

As per reports of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have managed to agree on a £35m proposal for the striker. Conor Gallagher has allegedly agreed to move to Madrid. La Liga giants are looking to sell Omorodion for a far lower fee than they were prepared to earlier in the summer.

Spain Under-21 international will now compete with Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu for a starting role at Stamford Bridge. He has never represented Atletico and scored eight goals in 35 outings for Alaves in 2023-24.
