Following their 3-0 thumping of Aston Villa, Chelsea has had an outstanding start to the 2024–25 Premier League season and currently sits in third place in the standings after 13 games. Jamie Gittens, a winger for Borussia Dortmund, appears to be of interest to them; however, Liverpool is also interested. They are constantly searching for methods to bolster the team.
According to Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sports Germany, the Blues are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old winger’s growth for the Bundesliga team and are strongly interested in making a bid for him in 2025. However, they will have fierce competition for the player Plettenberg referred to as a “superstar.”
It’s also said that in addition to Chelsea, Gittens is being scouted by teams like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur, who are interested in trying to recruit him. There might be some obstacles in the way of the Blues or any other team signing him in the near future.
Chelsea closely monitoring Jamie Gittens possible 2025 transfer
During the first few months of the 2024–25 season, the 20-year-old has been one of the Bundesliga’s most dynamic wingers and is continuously giving BVB excellent performances. Gittens has dominated opponents with his lightning-fast speed and dribbling prowess, and he has also improved his game this season.
Although Chelsea may already have wingers in their ranks, such as summer additions Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, and Jadon Sancho, they appear impressed by Gittens’ performance and may want to make a move for him if he can sustain his heroics over the long run.
