According to reports from the Daily Mail, Chelsea will allow Eden Hazard to join Real Madrid in an attempt to balance their finances.

Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in 2012 and has been an integral player for the club. The Belgium international has made 351 appearances for the club, scoring 108 goals and providing 91 assists.

This season, Hazard was terrific for Chelsea, amassing 19 goals and 16 assists in 51 matches across all competitions. The 28-year old topped the Premier League assist chart.

There are several reports that state that Eden Hazard will join Real Madrid in the summer. Apparently, Real Madrid will announce the Belgian’s announcement following the Europa League Final at Baku on the 29th.

Hazard’s current contract at Chelsea expires in 2020. Hence, Chelsea will prefer selling him to Real Madrid this summer for a large fee rather than selling him next summer for free. By selling him this summer, Chelsea will also comply to the Financial Fair Play rules in the future.
