Chelsea makes enquiry for Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak

In the January transfer window, a former Chelsea striker has predicted that the Blues will make a huge bid for Alexander Isak, an Arsenal target. Isak, a standout at Newcastle United who is valued at over £100 million by the Magpies, has been linked to the Gunners on multiple occasions. Since moving to St James’ Park from Real Sociedad, Isak has been a reliable player, netting 44 goals in 70 Premier League outings for Newcastle.

However, Isak is now having a very successful run in goal, scoring 14 goals in his previous 15 games to help Newcastle move up to fifth place in the Premier League, one point outside of the Champions League spots. Although former Chelsea striker Pat Nevin has predicted that his former club will make a spectacular bid, a January transfer for Isak appears unlikely given the numbers involved.

Chelsea told to sign scary striker who fits Arsenal better

Chelsea is struggling after a fantastic first half of the season, as goals have suddenly been difficult to come by, and Nicolas Jackson has missed several opportunities. Because of this, Nevin “would not be surprised” if Chelsea made a huge bid for Isak, even if he thinks Arsenal would be the ideal team for the Sweden international.

Nevin believes Chelsea would raise £80 million by selling “four or five” players this month in order to buy Isak. As a trading club, Chelsea will be examining every position in January, the 61-year-old continued.Eventually, everything will come together, according to their outlook on player trades and American sports. Chelsea is likely to let go of four or five players in January, and I wouldn’t be shocked if they are well-known players.”

Chelsea may recoup around £80 million, which would allow them to buy a well-known player—I wouldn’t be shocked if it were a striker.Christopher Nkunku might be among the players to depart, and not because he isn’t talented, but rather because that is how Chelsea operates.
