Chelsea offered Victor Osimhen a weekly wage of £130,500 a week.
Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has made a final decision on his future following a deadline-day transfer saga. Napoli man is heavily linked with the club from last year and the deal is yet to happen.
The 25-year-old is supposed to leave the club this summer and he wants to find more challenges in the Premier League. Osimhen was a vital figure for the club in winning the Serie A title one year back, scoring 26 top-flight goals.
Napoli tied the Nigeria international down to a new contract with a hefty £113m release clause. President Aurelio de Laurentiis confirmed earlier this summer that Osimhen wanted to leave.
Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in Saudi Arabia tried to get him on board. Arsenal were also in the race but they moved to Merino instead of Osimhen.
As per reports, Al-Ahli had come to an agreement with Napoli over a deal worth around £67m, but Osimhen hasn’t given his nod on it. Meanwhile, the Saudi club signed Ivan Toney from Brentford for a £40m deal. It means, Al Ahli will not push for Osimhen again.
As per French publication, the Blues offered him a weekly wage of £130,500 a week. Napoli boss also confirmed that he was not part of his plans and they signed Romelu Lukaku as the replacement.
