Sergio Ramos joined PSG on a two-year deal.

The former Real Madrid defender has joined heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

Real Madrid confirmed last month that the veteran would leave Bernabeu after a 16-year spell with the Los Blancos.

Chelsea and Man United were interested in signing the 35-year old to strengthen their central-defensive options this summer.

In the end, Ramos decided to move to the French capital where he believes he will continue to grow and improve.

“I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain,” Ramos told PSG’s club website. “This is a big change in my life, a new challenge and it’s a day I will never forget.

“I am very proud to be a part of this ambitious project, to be a part of this squad with so many great players. Paris Saint-Germain is a club that has already proven itself at the highest level.

“I want to continue to grow and improve at Paris and help the team to win as many trophies as possible.”
