Chelsea’s interest in Gianluigi Donnarumma is quite well known who is about to run out of a contract.
His current deal with AC Milan is set to last until June 2021 and both PSG and Chelsea have smelled blood in the transfer waters.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan will try everything to sign Donnarumma to a contract extension before this very summer. If the negotiations cross the summer transfer window deadline, Milan will be forced to let him got for nothing.
Of course, the goalkeeper himself is not against staying at San Siro. His heart bleeds black and red for the Rossoneri. But AC Milan will have to meet his demands which according to reports, could be pricey.
Donnarumma established himself as one of the best young goalkeepers out there when he was only 17. Now, he is the starting custodian for both Italy and AC Milan. With Chelsea’s problems in goal, they could just as easily snap him up on a bargain deal.
Roman Abramovich has agreed to back Frank Lampard in the transfer window and the evidence of that has shown in transfer deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. He could possibly even finance a deal for Donnarumma if Kepa continues to struggle at Premier League level.
