The transfer market is heating up for Chelsea.
Chelsea’s race to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianaluigi Donnarumma got complicated after reports were revealed that Real Madrid have made the young goalkeeping star one of their prime targets.
Chelsea are in a crisis of sorts right now with their current first team goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga playing below the required standards. It is believed that Lampard has given up on Kepa improving and has told the Chelsea board to find him a replacement goalkeeper come summer.
Chelsea have lined up a host of goalkeepers – Gianaluigi Donnarumma, David Onana and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen being the most prominent names on the list.
Donnarumma will certainly be the hottest property for Chelsea to chase but now it would seem that their hunt for the goalkeeper will face a huge stumbling block in the form of Real Madrid.Â
The Galacticos have made Donnarumma a concrete target meaning that Chelsea will now find it hard to pursue him.
To make matters even more complicated, PSG are also reportedly waiting in the wings to see how the Donnarumma situation unfolds.
Chelsea will have to spend heavily here to outbid the clubs like Madrid and PSG.Â
