Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen has been tipped with a move to Spanish side FC Barcelona.

The youngster was a wanted member in Antonio Conte’s Chelsea team last season but has found himself on the fringes this time around under Maurizio Sarri.

The Danish centre back is reportedly unhappy with his role in the team and thus has emerged reports of FC Barcelona taking him away to Nou Camp where they are in a little bit of a defensive dilemma.

However, Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has slowed down such talks saying that there is no plan in action yet to get a new signing and he wants to wait on the recovery of Umtiti.

“We want four centre-backs who can play,” he told a news conference ahead of Sunday’s trip to Levante.

“Umtiti could recover and that would be great news for us and would mean that we would have four centre-backs for the rest of the season, although three are left-footed.

“We will know more about what happens with him in a little while, but we are Barcelona and want to have a team who can respond. As I said, we’ll see what happens but I’m happy to manage with what I have.”
