Dani Olmo’s £50 million release clause from RB Leipzig is scheduled to expire on Monday of next week, according to Ryan Taylor. Premier League teams Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked to the 26-year-old Spanish international.
Taylor writes, “Liverpool is unlikely to move for the forward, contrary to reports in Spain, but Chelsea are understood to be among the clubs that have shown concrete interest in landing the versatile attacker.” As clubs want to bolster their squads in preparation for the upcoming season, this clause has generated a great deal of interest.
In order to help La Roja advance to Sunday’s final in Berlin, where they will play England, the 26-year-old attacking midfielder has been lighting up Euro 2024 for Spain with three goals and two assists.
Dani Olmo release clause as transfer battle heats up
After a number of preparatory talks over the previous few months, Mirror Football is aware that clubs from the Premier League and Spain are waiting until the deadline. At the European Championships, Olmo has scored more goals than any other player. Leipzig is willing to negotiate hard if teams continue to show interest once his release clause expires. Should that be the case, their demands will range from £60 million to £70 million, emphasising that any team hoping to sign the former Dinamo Zagreb player needs to act swiftly.
Olmo and Leipzig signed a new long-term deal last year that would have expired in the summer of 2027, so they would have every right to raise the price after Monday.
