Gilmour’s deal with Chelsea will expire at the end of the 2022-23 season.
Chelsea could recall Billy Gilmour from his loan spell at Norwich City in January’s transfer window. The 20-year-old player nailed down a spot in Daniel Farke’s first XI. He started in Norwich’s four out of first five Premier League fixtures since arriving at Carrow Road.
The Scotland international has been an unused substitute in his side’s last three Premier League encounters. Norwich opened their points of the season against Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Express claims that Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia may consider recalling Gilmour in January. Farke insisted that Norwich are not under any “pressure” to give minutes to loan players.
It also adds that it ‘would be no surprise’ to see Gilmour back at Chelsea in January. Billy Gilmour has made 22 appearances for Chelsea. Gilmour’s deal with Chelsea will expire at the end of the 2022-23 season.
