According to reports, Chelsea is open to hearing proposals for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at the £30 million they spent for him, as the possibility of a move to Rangers has been evaluated. In his first transfer window, new Blues manager Enzo Maresca signed 11 players: nine were paid for, one was on a free transfer, and one was on a loan with a buyout clause. Dewsbury-Hall seems like one of the most intriguing additions among those.

The £30 million player proved to be one of the finest players in the league by scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists when he joined Maresca from Leicester, where they had won the Championship. Since joining Chelsea, Dewsbury-Hall’s manager believes that his form has not kept up since he has only contributed 55 Premier League minutes thus far. He is now available for a January transfer from the Blues, according to Football Insider.

Chelsea makes Dewsbury-Hall available for January transfer

Dewsbury-Hall was among several players who were virtually excluded from Enzo Maresca’s plans for his Premier League team this year. According to insiders, he has been dissatisfied with his lack of first-team experience at Stamford Bridge and would be amenable to a move elsewhere after only six months. If Chelsea wants to allow the midfielder to depart permanently, they will likely demand at least the £30 million they spent to bring him to West London in the summer.

On the other hand, if the player demands a way out and no teams make permanent offers, a loan agreement might also be likely. The Premier League’s profit and sustainability regulations have raised concerns recently, raising doubts about whether clubs could afford his asking price halfway through the season.
