Chelsea looking to bid for Charlton goalkeeper James Beadle

Chelsea spent more than $1.3 billion to build their current team, but they lack elite players in a number of critical positions. The Blues lack a strong striker, a dependable goalie, a defender with leadership potential, and consistent wide options.

Due to Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen’s lackluster play in goal, Chelsea has been extremely concerned about the latter. With five mistakes that have resulted in goals this season, Sanchez has committed the most in the Premier League. He makes slow decisions and kicks erratically. The summer acquisition, Filip Jorgensen, isn’t much better and hasn’t won over the people at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea supporters and many commentators have urged the team to look for a new goalkeeper, and it looks like their requests are being met as the team is reportedly interested in Mile Svilar of AS Roma.

In 29 appearances in Serie A this season, Svilar has maintained 11 clean sheets. Sanchez and Jorgensen, for instance, both scored six. Additionally, the 25-year-old Serbian international has recorded three Europa League shutouts.

Chelsea now racing Bayern Munich for fantastic £33m GK

Svilar is now among the top goalkeepers in the Italian Premier Division after making tremendous progress. Bayern Munich’s and Chelsea’s interest is hardly surprising.

Since his current contract with Roma is set to expire in 2027, Svilar is currently locked in contract negotiations with the Italian team. Although he maintains a positive relationship with them, his loyalty may be put to the test if Maresca’s team decides to approach.

The Serbian was recently praised by Roma manager Claudio Ranieri, who said, “Mile is having a fantastic season.” Mile demonstrates his exceptional goalkeeping skills when he is not very occupied and is called upon at any time, demonstrating his constant readiness.

Furthermore, during the previous 12 months, the Roma star has surpassed Sanchez on several important goalkeeping criteria. Svilar was most recently rated between £29 and £33 million, making him a reasonably priced alternative for Chelsea. Additionally, there are indications that he would be a better option than Sanchez, who has failed his team far too often this season.
