Chelsea has seen multiple bids for Enzo Fernandez rejected by Benfica.

The Blues will make a final bid for the World Cup winner after seeing several of their bids rejected by Benfica this month.

The 22-year-old has a £106million release clause and could be their ninth signing of the month.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly will fly to Lisbon tonight to have a final discussion on the Enzo Fernandez deal.

They are expected to close the deal with Benfica before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.

Chelsea will reportedly pay £106m in installments to Benfica if the transfer gets done.

Enzo Fernandez has expressed his desire to leave the Portuguese club in recent weeks and has pleaded with Benfica to sanction his move.

Although Benfica released a statement back in December that the Argentine would stay until the end of this season.

‘SL Benfica clarifies that at no time did the President of the Club, Rui Costa, utter the words that are being circulated in Italy by DAZN,’ the club said.

‘Sport Lisboa e Benfica reiterates its intention to count on the player Enzo Fernández until the end of the season.’
