Chelsea have rejected Atletico Madrid’s offer for England midfielder Conor Gallagher. They are keen to keep the Englishman at Stamford Bridge next season.
The 24-year-old will see his contract expiring at the end of next summer. His future is pretty uncertain at Stamford Bridge. He hasn’t signed a new deal and Gallagher is believed to be keen to stay at Chelsea.

The English midfielder was a regular fixture in the Chelsea side last season. He scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 50 competitive appearances.
Chelsea are open to selling academy products to help them meet the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules. As per the reports of Spanish outlet AS, the Blues have rejected Atletico’s bid, leaving Atletico to go back to the drawing board.
The report adds that Atletico’s €20m proposal which ultimately fell considerably short of Chelsea’s £50m valuation. Atletico are also keeping tabs on Tottenham’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Atalanta’s Ederson, Celtic’s Matt O’Riley and Feyenoord’s Mats Wieffer.
