N’Golo Kante may soon be playing football elsewhere.

Chelsea prepares to offload Kante this summer transfer window to land Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

The Blues midfielder has struggled with injuries and could be part of one of several summer exits at Chelsea.

The Frenchman was named the PFA Player of the Year in 2017 and since then had made 169 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists.

Chelsea have already completed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner but the Chelsea boss is looking for further reinforcements.

According to reports, Chelsea have identified N’Golo Kante and eight other players available for the summer transfer window.

Frank Lampard admits that the club need to overhaul the defence and the likes of Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso are all on the market.

“The numbers don’t lie,” admitted Lampard.

“We’re trying to play a certain way. I know the teams now at the top of the game – Liverpool and Manchester City – have been through similar periods in the early stages of their managers being at the clubs so it’s a work in progress for me.

“I can’t shelve it in another direction.

“We have to work defensively as a group but some of the individual errors we’re making have cost us goals and they can’t be there if we want to keep moving forward.

A new goalkeeper and left-back also seems to be on their wish list with Ben Chilwell as a target.

Dean Henderson and Nick Pope have both been touted as potential replacements for Chelsea’s record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The club is also looking to offload Tiemoue Bakayoko who spent the season on loan at AS Monaco.
