The Blues are set to sell the Spanish goalkeeper this summer.
And they could use him as a bait to get one of the world’s best keeprs, Oblak.
Chelsea seem to be done with world-record goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and looking to sell him this summer. The 25-year-old former Athletic Bilbaio man has been benched for the last five games in all competitions, including Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.
Lampard has already identified Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak as the perfect man to replace the Spaniard. According to Spanish television show El Chiringuito, the Blues are willing to offer a swap deal consisting of Kepa plus €30 million for Oblak.
Oblak has proven himself time and time again to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world and the Spanish giants would undoubtedly ask for a higher cash sum to swap for a goalkeeper who has put up several league-low numbers in the 2019-20 campaign. The Slovenia international has, once again, been fantastic this season, earning 16 clean sheets in 34 appearances in all competitions despite Atletico being in third place in La Liga at the moment.
