Chelsea planning move for £68m-rated Manchester City star this summer

Man City star will see his contract expire in four years.

Chelsea are planning to make a move for the talented Man City star this summer as they want to boost their squad under new manager. They are one of three clubs who are eyeing a move for a £68m-rated star.

The Blues have signed a new manager after sacking Pochettino and they will start a new era under head coach Enzo Maresca. He will start his new job on July 1.

The 44-year-old will be involved in Chelsea’s summer transfer dealings. They have completed their first signing in the form of Tosin Adarabioyo. The centre-back has agreed a four-year-contract with the Blues and will join the club when his deal at Fulham expires at the end of this month.

Chelsea are also looking for a new option so they can find competition for Nicolas Jackson. As per Argentine news outlet TyC Sports, the West London club will consider making an offer for Man City forward Julian Alvarez.

Chelsea only offer Europa Conference League football as they failed to qualify for the Champions League. It means, Alvarez can take back step.

Alvarez has scored 36 goals and provided 18 assists in 103 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions. He scored 19 goals and 13 assists in 54 games last season to win Premier League trophy.

He is said to be valued at €80m (£68m), but Man City have no interest in selling him. His contract will expire in four years.
