Chelsea Open To Selling N'Golo Kante As Real Madrid, PSG & Juventus Circle

Chelsea are reportedly facing enquiries from Real Madrid, PSG and Juventus for their midfield ace, N’Golo Kante.

An injury-ravaged season has seen Kante make only 22 appearances under Frank Lampard before going down once again prior to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The 28-year-old has two Premier League medals to his name, an FA Cup trophy and the FIFA World Cup. He is regarded as one of the best in his position and a highly-valued member of this Chelsea side. But his recent track record of injuries has certainly made the Blues think twice about keeping him.

90min reports that Kante is happy at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea would be open to selling him for an acceptable bid. Zinedine Zidane has set his sights on a few Premier League targets, one of them being Kante. A defensive force of Kante’s stature could really solidify the Madrid midfield for the coming years.

Perrenial French champions, PSG are also eyeing the former Leicester City star. They are looking to add some of Europe’s top talents to the squad with their supreme financial capabilities. Juventus boss, Maurizio Sarri is keen on reuniting with Kante in Turin. Reports claim that the Frenchman could cost north of £79m. But it would be less than wise for Chelsea to sell one of their best players at this point of time.

Frank Lampard is still building the squad, having only bought Hakim Ziyech so far. He needs more key pieces to turn the West London outfit into title-challengers once again. Removing Kante could prove to be detrimental to their immediate ambitions, given how Chelsea have always finished above fifth since his arrival.
