Chelsea now have to find temporary solutions for a wide array of players.
Chelsea are open to allowing one of their players to remain out on loan for the 2024-25 season. The Blues are planning to allow few players to leave and try new challenges at other clubs. They need quality players in their squad.
Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have made their plan to focus on the summer transfer window. They now have to find temporary solutions for a wide array of players. As per loan rules, only seven loans can be arranged with foreign clubs.
As per the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, as well as the Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella, that could be the case with regard to Andrey Santos who is already out on loan.
The 20-year-old was loaned out to Strasbourg during the previous winter transfer window. Santos made eight starts and two substitute appearances plus also winning the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month award.
He recently scored a dramatic winning goal as Strasbourg recorded a victory over Metz on Sunday evening. Chelsea are happy for him for spend another season in Ligue 1.
Chelsea will also plan something for other players like Deivid Washington who earned just 25 minutes of senior football during his first season in England.
David Fofana wants to play for Chelsea next season and he is currently with Burnely on loan. Chelsea may also need to entertain allowing some high-profile players to move elsewhere on a temporary basis if they do not attract suitable permanent bids.
