According to a rumour this afternoon, Italy’s top defender, Riccardo Calafiori, has apparently received a good salary offer from Chelsea. After an outstanding Euros campaign for Italy, Chelsea has been linked to the center defender, who can also play left back.
They were forced to leave the competition early this week after being eliminated, but that now presents an opportunity for any club hoping to sign him during the summer transfer window. Chelsea seems to be among them to sign him.
Many clubs have been reported to be interested in signing him, so it’s expected to be the next big transfer story. Additionally, it appears that his club, Bologna, will be open to selling him during this window and appear to be making encouraging offers.

Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla claims that Chelsea has already made Riccardo Calafiori an offer that includes a substantial salary. This would be a fantastic signing for Chelsea if they could make it work. However, the sheer volume of clubs that will be moving for him makes it appear as though it may be nearly impossible.
Liverpool and Arsenal have already been announced, as Romano stated on X, and I’m sure more teams will follow. This one will become even more well-known, and his club seems to be looking to go into a bidding battle for him, so inflationary fees will follow.
