Gabriel Mec is a Gremio attacking midfielder who Chelsea is interested in signing. Chelsea representatives are now in Brazil, according to UOL, trying to finalize a deal for the 16-year-old offensive midfield player. It is unclear if the Brazilian team and the gifted young striker can come to an agreement on a price. The Brazilian club is demanding about €20 million for the attacker.
Because of his advanced age, Gabriel Mec will not be eligible to sign with Chelsea until 2026. Not until he is eighteen will he be able to travel to the United Kingdom. Even once his contract with Chelsea expires, the highly-regarded offensive midfielder is probably going to stay with Gremio. At the moment, the Brazilian club will allow him to continue developing through regular football.
Gremio demanding €20 million for Gabriel Mec
Gremio is willing to pay €20 million to Gabriel Mec in order to end their relationship, as Chelsea and Manchester United are eager to sign him during the summer transfer window. Gabriel Mec is the most recent highly regarded prodigy to become well-known in his native country. Having joined Gremio in 2019, this Rio de Janeiro native has become stronger throughout the course of his five years at the Brazilian team.
However, Chelsea is hoping to sign him for a basic price of about €7 million plus an additional €7 million in salary. Around €10 million in basic fees is what Gremio hopes to recover out of the €20 million. Whether the Blues agree to the requests will be intriguing to see.
