Chelsea missing 9 players ahead of Everton tie

Looks like Chelsea hasn’t had much luck lately when it comes to injuries.

The Blues have witnessed several injuries this season and now that the Everton clash is coming up on Sunday, the Blues could be missing up to nine players on the pitch. And that’s frightening news for the struggling Blues.

N’Golo Kante, one of Chelsea’s most important players, has been out for several matches, along with Callum Hudson-Odoi, who had just recovered from a torn achilles, before getting sidelined again with a hamstring injury.

Andreas Christensen also did not play on Tuesday in the match against Liverpool, after he got a broken nose when playing against Manchester United.

Mateo Kovacic, and Willian are also down with Achilles injuries. However, even though Christian Pulisic with a thigh injury, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek with his achilles injury, are close to recovery, there is no guarantee that they will show up for the Everton clash.

Tammy Abraham is still on the sidelines with the ankle injury, and Olivier Giroud will probably be taking his place a long while now.

Jorginho is also on the bench, but not because of an injury this time – but a suspension. He’s banned from the next two matches after receiving his 10th yellow card at Bournemouth last week.

Being a mid-table team, Everton might just come prepared this time for Chelsea’s relatively less intensive squad.
