Chelsea midfielder angry as the club block loan moves

The Blues have knocked back offers from two European clubs

Ruben Loftus-Cheek came through the ranks of Chelsea and made his senior debut for the club in 2014. The classy midfielder is held in high regard by those in west London.

The 22 year old couldn’t establish himself as a regular for the Blues as the path was blocked by big money signings. He just made 32 appearances for the club before joining Crystal Palace on a season long loan last summer in order to get more first team football.

Despite struggling with injuries, the midfielder was impressive with his performances for the Eagles, score two goals and assisted three in 24 appearances. He has shown what he is capable of when given regular game time, with senior international recognition coming his way with England.

His future has been uncertain throughout this summer and with the arrival of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic he has fallen further behind the pecking order. They already have N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater fighting for a place in the starting XI.

The England International featured for just 22 minutes for the London Outfit this season. This again raised questions about his future and prompted suggestions that he could ask to go out on loan.

However, Maurizio Sarri confirmed last week that the player will stay at the club atleat until January and will talk to him about his future in December.

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been left furious with the club that loan bids from Monaco and Schalke were knocked back, The Sun report.

He fears a lack of game time could cost him a place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the upcoming Nations League games with Spain and Switzerland as he believes he won’t get a regular run in the midfield after the arrival of Kovacic and Jorginho.
