Chelsea have reportedly made a move in the transfer market to sign Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

The German goalie has been at Munich for almost all his footballing career. He is one of the most experienced players in the squad and at one time was one of the best in the game.

He is still one of the better players, and Neuer knows that. Despite missing most of action last season, and some of this season, he is back now and believes he can be at his top game for the upcoming future.

The problem is not that Neuer is injury prone. It is the fact that the player is 33 years old and will turn 34.

He is reportedly wanting a contract that is both long and expensive and Bayern are not willing to commit to such a situation.

It has brought Chelsea into the picture. The Blues are interested in signing a goalkeeper with their current custodian Kepa Arrizabalaga not in a stable place at the club now.

Kepa’s performance has been bad all season and Chelsea are reportedly lining up moves for other goalkeepers to stabilise their backline.

Do you think Neuer is a good choice for Lampard?
