Ajax has beaten Chelsea to the signature of Brazilian wonder teen Antony.
Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax were trying their best to catch up with each other to snap up the kid from South America.
This is his agent revealing how the transfer race turned out.
“Borussia Dortmund was close by and even sent someone to Brazil,” Antony’s agent Junior Pedroso said.
“There was also interest from two major clubs from England, including Chelsea. We spoke to a total of twelve clubs.
“The agreements are similar to those of David Neres. There is a bonus if he plays a hundred games, becomes the top scorer of the Eredivisie, and if Ajax wins the Champions League or Europa League.
“We are waiting for the green light, but we plan to travel to the Netherlands on 5 July. The presentation is two days later.”
Antony is a player from Sao Paulo where Ajax last went to snap up David Neres. There is a lot of good hope in the youngster and joining a big club like Ajax who gives chances to youth, is the best option.
Chelsea could have been the better option but at the moment there is simply far too much competition in the club already!
