Chelsea are reportedly looking to appeal against transfer ban which has been imposed on them by UEFA just a few days ago. They are also looking to make an attempt at bringing in the AC Milan midfield ace Alessio Romagnoli to Stamford Bridge in the next summer.
The Blues have been looking to make a mark this season after their recent downfall. After losing consecutive matches in the Premier League by Bournemouth and Manchester City by significant margins and being knocked out of the FA Cup by close rivals Manchester United, they lost their last encounter in the League Cup against Manchester City to lose out on an opportunity to lift a silverware. Their midfield has not performed anywhere near expectations this season, especially Jorginho, who has been a big failure under the tactics of the new manager Maurizio Sarri.
In this condition, the Blues might look to bring in Romagnoli to add steel to their midfield. However, it might not be easy for them with the AC Milan gaffer Gennaro Gattuso not willing to let the influential midfielder and captain leave San Siro in the next summer. The player has a contract to stay at the Serie A club until 2022 and it is to be seen whether Chelsea can get over their transfer ban and pull off the signing of the Italian midfield ace.
