Chelsea Football Club is preparing to enter a fierce transfer battle with rivals Arsenal and Liverpool for the signature of Konstantinos Karetsas, the highly-rated 18-year-old attacker from Belgian club Genk.

According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea has identified the Greek international as an ideal fit for their long-term project and is ready to make a move for the teenage sensation, who is also wanted by several other top European sides.
Born in Belgium to Greek parents, Karetsas has rapidly emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
Despite his youth, he has already compiled significant first-team experience, making over 50 appearances for Genk’s senior side since the start of 2024 and contributing to 20 goals.
His rapid rise extends to the international stage. After representing Belgium at various youth levels, Karetsas switched allegiance to Greece and made history in March 2025 by becoming the country’s youngest-ever goalscorer at just 17 years and 124 days old.
A versatile forward, he is comfortable playing as a central attacking midfielder or on either wing, offering technical creativity and a direct goal threat.
Chelsea’s pursuit is complicated by intense competition. Both Arsenal and Liverpool have monitored Karetsas for some time and possess the financial resources to rival any offer.
