The 17-year old has been dubbed as the next Cristiano Ronaldo due to his phenomenal wing-wizardry.

The Under-17 international made his debut for Sporting Lisbon in June and has a £41million release clause in his contract.

According to reports, both Chelsea and Manchester City have contacted Joelson’s advisor Kia Joorabchian to discuss about potential deals.

Arsenal made an initial bid for £18m which was eventually turned down and then followed with a second bid of £29m which was again turned down as the club want his full release clause paid.

On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also shown interest in the 17-year old.

A perfect analysis of Joelson came from Victor Espadinha to JN: “Don’t forget this name. I saw him play at the Academy and he always wanted to dribble, leaving his opponents seated! It’s the kind of extreme skill which hasn’t been seen in a long time! A new Paulo Futre!

Chelsea are in closing in on signing Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz.

They have also shown interest in West Ham’s Declan Rice and there’s been a possible development in attempts to sign Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
