A thrilling summer transfer window awaits Chelsea as the team begins yet another new chapter. On July 1, Xabi Alonso, who has been tasked with improving the team’s performance, will formally take over.

The West London team failed to qualify for Europe, dropping to 10th place in the Premier League. Even if the season were a huge letdown, Alonso, the former manager of Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, would have more time to instil his ideology on the training ground due to the absence of European responsibilities.

Chelsea may reorganise their team once more after being incredibly active in the transfer market in recent years. Following agreements made last year, the new manager is already expected to welcome forwards Geovany Quenda and Emmanuel Emegha, with further high-profile additions expected as the summer goes on. As he prepares for his first season in charge, Alonso could try to let go of some of Chelsea’s underperforming players.

Chelsea’s dream attack as Xabi Alonso found Garnacho a replacement

Prior to the summer transfer window, Jarrod Bowen, the captain of West Ham United, had been connected to Chelsea. According to The Guardian, a number of teams are reportedly interested in the 29-year-old, who may be transferred to assist the Hammers in earning money following their Premier League relegation.

Bowen has continuously played effectively in the top division, scoring nine goals and dishing out eleven assists in the Premier League this season. He might join Chelsea’s assault on the right wing, providing Estevao, who has shown promise in his rookie season at Stamford Bridge, with seasoned competition.

The 19-year-old may begin the season below Bowen in the hierarchy and will need to get used to fighting for his spot. However, as he is ready to come from Sporting CP, the Brazil international will still anticipate being ahead of Portugal U21 international Geovany Quenda, who can also play right wing-back. Eli Junior Kroupi, a forward for Bournemouth, has been linked to Chelsea as a striker after an outstanding breakout season.
