Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing 18 year old Genoa midfielder Nicolo Rovella.
The Serie A media outlets are claiming that the Italian central midfielder is doing the transfer rounds in Italy now. Calciomercato reported that the 18 year old midfielder who made his senior debut in the Coppa Italia tie against Ascoli after the Christmas break has caught the attention of the Stamford Bridge outfit.Â
Chelsea have already sent out their scouts to keep a track of the youngster’s development. However, they may have to act quickly since former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who is currently in charge of Inter Milan is also reportedly keeping an eye on Rovella.Â
The midfielder has an uncanny number of similarities with that of Billy Gilmour of Chelsea. Rovella has a good passing skill, technique, vision and lacks the physical strength right now but more than makes up for it with his intent and flair.
If Chelsea do manage to sign him, imagine a midfield duo of Gilmour and Rovella for the future!
