According to the famous Italian journalist, Chelsea are not getting closer to seeing N’Golo Kante sign a new contract.
The Frenchman could leave Stamford Bridge as a free agent this summer, with an offer from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club on the table. Chelsea had a long talk with the French midfielder over a new deal until very recently.

Now, Romano added that Kante’s future at Chelsea is unclear once again. There is no denying that he is one of our finest midfielders in recent decades.
Kante moved to Chelsea from Leicester City in the summer of 2016. The 32-year-old had injury issues and his form also swa a dip.
Kante offers immense experience but Chelsea have to trust the young players including Enzo Fernandez, Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka.
