Chelsea may be willing to spend up to €120 million for Federico Valverde, according to rumours that they are considering a transfer. Federico Valverde, a 27-year-old Real Madrid utility player, is once again on Chelsea’s radar, according to Fichajes.
The West Londoners are prepared to consider a move for the player. According to the report, the Blues are prepared to spend at least €120 million on the versatile midfield player in an effort to bolster their midfield and shatter the transfer market.
The majority of the best teams in Europe would like Federico Valverde on their rosters. The Uruguayan, who rose to fame at Real Madrid, is currently regarded as one of the team’s best players and appears to have the title of ‘indispensable’.
Valverde, a 27-year-old Real Madrid utility player, has long been on Chelsea’s radar. Previous rumours suggested that Chelsea may even entertain a trade for the player, with Enzo Fernandez turning them down. The Spanish powerhouses, who are reluctant to part with Valverde, are still interested in the Argentine.
Chelsea submit €120m offer for their next superstar midfielder
Since Clearlake Capital became the team’s new owners in 2022, the Blues have made it a priority to acquire young players, but they have their sights set on closing a huge deal for Valverde this year.
Although Real Madrid is allegedly hesitant to sell Valverde, they have not yet rejected Chelsea’s bid since they are mindful of the potential financial consequences of a €120 million transfer. Fichajes, however, claim that Florentino Perez is unlikely to approve a departure until Valverde declares his intention to quit the Spanish powerhouse in order to finalise a move to Stamford Bridge.
With three and a half years left on his current contract at the Bernabeu, the Uruguayan star’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is €114.5 million, the second-highest of any Real Madrid player behind Jude Bellingham.
Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton, two English players, have also been connected to Chelsea in recent weeks. According to rumours, Rosenior’s team is anticipated to recruit at least one new central midfield player this summer.
