Chelsea reportedly have agreed personal terms with Erling Haaland.
English news outlet, The Express claim that The Blues only have to agree a transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund to sign him.
Haaland took Europe by storm since his breakout season with Red Bull Salzburg. After knocking in a record number of goals in Austria, he made the switch to Dortmund and became an instant hit. He finished last campaign with 57 goals in 59 appearances for BVB in total, winning the Bundesliga Player of the Season in the process.
Of course, this has seen Haaland’s value skyrocket in the current market. Every club wants to sign him but only a few can. Chelsea are fortunately among the capable parties and are only left to find an agreement with Dortmund.
“Personal terms for Haaland are signed off, it’s just a case of Chelsea agreeing a fee with Dortmund,” Ian McGarry told the Transfer Window Podcast.
Tuchel’s number one target this summer will be to bring in a marquee forward who will be able to finish off chances on a regular basis. Plenty of names have swivelled in and out of the rumour mill but Haaland’s remain the most attractive.
At just 19, he has shown the capability to become the world’s very best in his position, knocking in unmatched number of goals each season. The question is whether Chelsea will be able to match Dortmund’s valuation of £150m.
