Chelsea will play Leeds United in their semi-final match at Wembley Stadium, one step closer to winning the FA Cup. By averting a shock and defeating League One underdogs Port Vale in their quarterfinal at Stamford Bridge, the Blues easily advanced to the last four.

Jorrel Hato’s goal in the second minute put them ahead, and they won 7-0 on Saturday thanks to goals from Joao Pedro, an own goal, Tosin Adarabioyo, Andrey Santos, Estevao, and Alejandro Garnacho.

Manchester City, Leeds, Southampton, and Chelsea were included in the semi-final draw. After Leeds defeated West Ham in a penalty shootout at the London Stadium, there was a tie. On the weekend of April 25–26, Chelsea will play Leeds, while City will play Southampton.

Chelsea and Leeds United will square off in the semi-final draw’s marquee match, which is reminiscent of one of the most legendary rivalries in English football. After a wild quarterfinal match at the London Stadium against West Ham United that ended in a thrilling penalty shootout victory, Leeds secured their spot in the last four.

Leeds secure showdown with Chelsea

After making it to the FA Cup semi-finals for the first time in 39 years, Leeds United will take on Chelsea at Wembley. After an exciting 2-2 draw on Sunday, Daniel Farke’s team defeated Premier League relegation rivals West Ham 4-2 on penalties to advance.

Leeds last made it to the FA Cup final four in 1987 before losing 3-2 to eventual winners Coventry City at Hillsborough. They only won the trophy once, in 1972.

The 1970 showdown between the two teams, in which the Blues won following a rematch at Old Trafford—the only FA Cup final at the time to require one since 1912—will also be brought up by their matchup with eight-time champions Chelsea.

This season, Chelsea hasn’t had the finest record against Leeds. Leeds prevailed 3-1 in December in the two encounters between the two teams this season. The game at Stamford Bridge back in February finished in a 2-2 tie, with Chelsea being pegged back from a 2-0 lead.

Both semi-final matches will take place at Wembley Stadium over the weekend of Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, according to confirmation from the Football Association.
