According to sources, Chelsea has reached a personal agreement with Alejandro Garnacho, but they are still negotiating a transfer cost with Manchester United. Chelsea is the front-runner to recruit Garnacho because he has expressed a desire to leave United this summer but is eager to remain in the Premier League and join a Champions League team.
Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Jorrel Hato, Liam Delap, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Kendry Paez, and Madou Sarr are among the eight players the Blues have signed so far this summer.
The team’s preseason trip to the United States this summer did not include the Argentina international, who had a falling out with Ruben Amorim at the close of the previous season. Garnacho has been training away from United’s first lineup in hopes of joining Chelsea.
Garnacho has already agreed to personal terms prior to a possible move to Stamford Bridge, but United and Chelsea are still at odds over a cost for the 21-year-old, according to Fabrizio Romano.
United reportedly wants £50 million for Garnacho, after requesting £70 million from Chelsea and Napoli during the January transfer window.
