Atletico Madrid have been left ‘extremely confident’ that they will be able to get a deal over the line for Gallagher.
Chelsea are handed a boost in their efforts to cash in on midfielder Conor Gallagher. They are in the mood to sell their player so they can get some funds for the summer transfer window.
The academy graduate was in great touch in 2024-25 but still, Chelsea are fine to sell him. He has entered his final year of the contract. Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have been pushing to sell the Englishman. Gallagher would prefer to remain at Chelsea.
The 24-year-old has spoken to former Atletico defender Kieran Trippier regarding a potential switch to La Liga. As per the reports of TEAMtalk, the La Liga giants have been left ‘extremely confident’ that they will be able to get a deal over the line for Gallagher.

The report adds that the Spanish giants have instigated discussions with the Blues and are now regarded as the frontrunners for his signature. Chelsea want somewhere in the region of £40m. They don’t want to lose him on a free transfer.
