The Chelsea goalkeeper was the number 1 or number 2 at best from 1999 to 2009 and was at Chelsea before the Roman Abramovich era. He is one of the best Chelsea goalkeepers of all time and is third on the most number of clean sheets ever.

Cudicini dislodged Ed de Goey from the number one spot back in 1999 and was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year for the 2001–02 season. He was the first choice until Petr ÄŒech arrived in 2004.

2. Peter Bonetti, Chelsea FC, 1960-1979, 208 Clean Sheets

In second place on our Top 5, Chelsea Goalkeepers with most clean sheets of all time is Peter Bonetti. Bonetti was the Chelsea goalkeeper between 1960-1979, amassing 78 clean sheets along the way. Nicknamed the “Cat” during those years he was one of the best goalkeepers at that time. He was known for his fantastic one arm throw.

Chelsea signed him from Reading after funnily enough, his mother wrote to the Reading manager Ted Drake, asking that he give her boy a trial. He made his debut in 1960 and helped the Chelsea youth side win the FA Youth Cup. He was the Chelsea goalkeeper for the next 19 years.
