Kenedy wished he stayed at Flamengo for a longer period last season.

The winger spent the first-half of last season on loan at Flamengo where the Brazilian club reached the Copa Libertadores final in December.

Kenedy was starting to get regular minutes under his belt but his time in Brazil was cut short after he was recalled from loan by Chelsea.

Ben Chilwell suffered a season-ending injury, so Kenedy was required as a backup to Marcos Alonso.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian made only one league appearance on the final day of the season and claimed he was unhappy to return to Stamford Bridge.

He said: “I was sad to have left earlier than expected. I would have liked to stay longer, but it was not as I dreamed. I hope one day to return and everything will be different.

“I played half a season in each team, so I didn’t have many opportunities. There’s no way to evaluate my season, but my goal as a professional is always to surpass myself more and more, we always want to enter the pitch to win.”
