Chelsea are on the brink of confirming the signing of the Fulham defender.

Chelsea are keen to get the signature of a talented Premier League defender. The Blues want to complete the signing in the summer but they are facing competition from Newcastle United.

The West London club have reportedly edged out the Magpies in the race for a Premier League defender. Chelsea is well-stocked with central defenders such as Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah, and Wesley Fofana.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are determined to cash in on academy graduate Chalobah. Newcastle have taken an interest in trying to sign Tosin Adarabioyo and Lloyd Kelly on free transfers.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are on the brink of confirming the signing of the Fulham defender. He has verbally agreed to sign a contract with the West London club and a medical has been booked for next week.

Adarabioyo featured for 20 times in the Premier League with Fulham. He could be a great addition for Chelsea ahead of the new season.
