Ben Chilwell’s Chelsea future appears uncertain as several Turkish clubs are reportedly circling the left-back, hoping to secure his services before their transfer window closes on September 13.
Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas have all expressed interest in the 27-year-old, who has fallen out of favor at Stamford Bridge.
Chilwell, once a key figure in Chelsea’s defense, has struggled to cement his place under new manager Enzo Maresca, who publicly advised him to seek more regular playing time elsewhere.
Despite his impressive credentials, including a Champions League winner’s medal from Chelsea’s 2021 triumph, the England international has found himself on the fringes this season.
While Chilwell remained at the club after the English transfer window shut, the Turkish Super Lig presents him with a fresh opportunity.
Fenerbahce, in particular, are keen on adding the defender after losing Ferdi Kadioglu to Brighton.
A loan move to one of these Turkish giants could offer Chilwell the chance to reignite his career and regain the form that made him one of the Premier League’s standout full-backs.
The player, however, isn’t pushing for an exit and is reportedly open to staying at Chelsea to fight for his place.
Still, with Maresca’s lack of faith in him, a move away seems increasingly likely, especially with the Turkish clubs offering favorable terms for a season-long loan.
Chilwell’s next steps will unfold over the coming days, but a departure from Stamford Bridge is on the cards as he evaluates his options.
