Ben Chilwell makes honest admission about Chelsea’s title hopes.
The England international return to action on Saturday after a long absence from ACL injury.
He is expected to face competition from new signing Marc Cucurella who has impressed from the bench against Everton.
The wing back has played down the pressure on him and the squad and believes Chelsea is still in transition.
“We’ve got a lot to work on and improve on but the main thing was the three points and we got them so we’re happy,” Chilwell told chelseafc.com.
“We’re a team in transition and we’re still trying to work together. We’ve got new players that have been integrated in and a new ownership so we’re still working hard and basically we’re just taking every game as it comes.”
Manager Thomas Tuchel is delighted with Chilwell’s return to the first-team.
“Everyone is so happy,” he told the official Chelsea website.
“He worked so hard through pre-season and his holidays after his injury to have this possibility.
“It came maybe early, he still lacks rhythm and full confidence.
“There is no other way than playing.”
