Chelsea identifies Brest defender Bradley Locko as valuable target for summer

Chelsea are preparing a bold, multi-player package in an attempt to secure Aston Villa’s star attacker Morgan Rogers, according to multiple reports.

Morgan Rogers Transfer: Chelsea Plan Creative Swap With Villa

The Blues have reportedly earmarked defenders Tosin Adarabioyo, Trevoh Chalobah, and Benoît Badiashile as potential components in a swap deal to offset Villa’s hefty £80 million asking price.

Rogers emerged at Villa last January, seamlessly transitioning from the Championship with Middlesbrough to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old is now a key figure under Unai Emery, finishing the 2024–25 season with an impressive tally of 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 appearances.

His blend of creativity, dribbling flair, and goal-scoring ability has attracted keen interest from Stamford Bridge.

Though Villa have labelled Rogers “off-limits,” Chelsea remain undeterred. Co-director of recruitment Joe Shields, who previously worked with Rogers at Manchester City’s academy, is reportedly leading the effort.

Sources suggest Chelsea aim to finalize a deal before the transfer window shuts on September 1, combining cash and players to sweeten the offer.

Aside from the defence trio, Nicolas Jackson and Andrey Santos have also been linked as possible bargaining chips. Jackson, recently displaced by Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, reportedly interests Villa.

Chelsea have already revitalized their attack this summer, signing Delap, Pedro, and Jamie Gittens. Yet manager Enzo Maresca still prioritizes further reinforcement in midfield.

Rogers, capable of playing as a No. 10 or left winger, offers versatile quality and would bolster Chelsea’s Champions League ambitions—an edge Villa can’t currently match
