The American defender was part of the MLS side Atlanta United. He made 85 first-team appearances, scoring six goals and seven assists. The 19-year-old represented the United States at the Olympics. Chelsea invested £8.5m to sign Wiley and they will give him time to improve in the Ligue 1.
The West London club are continuing to loan players off to make room for new signings. Last weekend, they signed Pedro Neto and they are allowing Conor Gallagher to leave. The Blues will play their first game of the season against Manchester City.
