Enzo Maresca was asked about his expectations for this season and beyond.
Chelsea are playing one more season under a new manager and they are looking to change all the odds to find the club on top following two poor seasons.
The Blues beat Bournemouth in their previous encounter of the Premier League. Chelsea lost to Man City in the opener but then, remained unbeaten. They will play in a European competition after one year, as the Blues have qualified for the Conference League.
The West London manager Enzo Maresca was asked about his expectations for this season and beyond. The former Leicester City boss said, “In terms of expectations, my expectations is to try and improve the team and build something important,” Maresca said.
“I always said that to improve the team you need to improve the players, to the main focus is on the day by day – how we can improve players. That improves the team, and from there we try to start to build something important for the next 4, 5 6 years, we will see.
Chelsea will now meet West Ham in their next Premier League tie and then, start their EFL Cup campaign. Their Conference League campaign will kick off next month.
