Man United had offered Araujo a contract worth £8.4m a year to move to Old Trafford next summer.
Chelsea could reportedly face the task with Manchester United for Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo during this summer’s transfer window.
Araujo has been excellent for the Catalan giants this season. The Uruguay international has made 25 appearances across all competitions. Man United are said to be keen to sign him this summer.
A recent report adds that Man United had offered 22-year-old a contract worth £8.4m a year to move to Old Trafford next summer.
As per reports to Goal, the Blues are also in the race for the Uruguay star. Chelsea views him as a ‘serious transfer target’ this summer.
The 22-year-old defender will see his contract expiring in 18 months at Camp Nou. He has scored five goals and provided one assist in 64 appearances for Barcelona since his move from Boston River in 2018.
