Manchester United Happy To Listen To Chelsea Offer For Sergio Romero

The transfer saga surrounding the Argentine talent has taken an unexpected turn with reports that Chelsea has entered the hunt to capture Alejandro Garnacho, a winger for Manchester United. The 20-year-old Garnacho has drawn a lot of interest, with Napoli spearheading the pursuit after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite the fact that Manchester United is not actively looking to sell Garnacho, significant offers cannot be turned down due to financial constraints.

Sky Sports News reports Chelsea is considering a move of their own for Garnacho, as the Blues aim to bolster their attack during the January transfer window. Nevertheless, the Blues will find it difficult to entice United into a sale. Napoli, armed with funds from the sale of Kvaratskhelia, have identified Garnacho as their top target and are poised to make a fresh bid.

Chelsea eye-shock move for Man United star Garnacho

At Old Trafford, the Argentine winger is having a respectably good season, tallying eight goals and five assists in 31 games. Numerous prestigious clubs have taken notice of his performances. Chelsea may be interested as they look for a dynamic winger to complement their changing offensive scheme. Despite being in United’s starting lineup for recent games against Southampton and Arsenal, there are still whispers that he might leave.

Garnacho’s Manchester United contract expires in June 2028, and the team is unlikely to allow him to sign with a rival Premier League team unless they receive an incredible offer. It is still more likely to end up in Napoli. At this point, it doesn’t seem probable that Chelsea would make a last-ditch effort to keep Garnacho at Old Trafford if there are more realistic alternatives. Chelsea is also rumored to be keeping an eye on a number of potential targets, including Jamie Gittens of Borussia Dortmund.
