This afternoon, Chelsea’s supporters will be happy to hear about the club’s formal announcement of an exciting new contract confirmation. Though Chelsea’s formal announcement has alleviated some concerns, tensions should calm down for the time being.
On their official website, Chelsea has announced that Tyrique George, an Academy forward, has signed a new contract that will run until 2027 with a one-year option. Chelsea supporters hold George in high regard, especially those who are devoted to the team’s academy football programmes.
The 18-year-old regularly trained with the senior squad during the second half of the season and made appearances as a substitute in Chelsea’s Premier League victories over Everton, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur.

In 2014, George joined an under-8 team at the Chelsea academy. The 18-year-old has risen through the club’s academy levels. George scored some spectacular goals and had a major impact on two Chelsea Academy teams’ last season.
Twenty-one of his 26 games were with Chelsea’s Under-18s, who finished the season as Premier League South winners. Three of his appearances with the Under-21s were during the Premier League 2 playoffs. Even though he played youth football for England, he may represent Nigeria in football. At this moment, Chelsea is trying to sign all the best young players available, particularly in South America.
